We’ve done it again!
Inspired by the popularity of our 2005 calendar, the women of the Ashland Rowing Club have once again bared all to produce “Rowing Revealed” 2006. With this calendar, the models, ranging in age from 27 to 76, hope to dispel the myth that any woman is too old or too overweight to become an athlete. ARC is a non-profit club that was founded in 1999, and since then has become the fastest growing club on the West Coast, with 120 Masters members. Four years ago ARC helped start a rowing program at Southern Oregon University and now supplies equipment and coaches to help it expand. We are focusing on growing our youth rowing programs and in 2005 added rowing opportunities for both disabled as well as at-risk students. This fundraising idea has provided not only an opportunity to raise money for our club, but also to build camaraderie and to have a lot of fun in the process.
