The Home Builders Association of Hickory-Catawba Valley kicked off a charity fund-raiser with the unveiling of their 2006 "Men of the HBA" calendar September 22, at the Lake Hickory Country Club. In the spirit of the film "Calendar Girls," thirteen normally self-effacing male members of the Home Builders Association of Hickory-Catawba Valley recently agreed to pose for the 2006 Men of the HBA calendar. The reason? Each good-looking guy has designated his favorite charity, and the general public gets to determine the winning "Hunk" whose charity will receive $1000 by sending in their vote to the HBA.
