Hanging Out in Hog Country

From the e-mail:

I'm writing to let you know that I've published a nude charity calendar featuring business people in the town I live in, Fayetteville, AR.

A portion of our proceeds will be used to create a revolutionary healing program for victims and survivors of sexual assault in our area.

It's been a marvelous experience. Lots of good press this week and it's on the market for sale.

Thanks,
Elaine Wade
ad hoc, Inc. Pres.

Ms Wade is too modest. From the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette:

Elaine Wade had to reclaim her life following a brutal sexual attack eight years ago. She now hopes a new community service project will lead other victims down the same healing path — one day at a time.

Wade, a pretty woman with bright eyes and a fetching smile, has put together a calendar of local business folk, all of them nude and all of them proud. Well-known photographer Don House took all the black and white photos, and creative director Greg Mack donated his services to put them into a calendar titled "Hanging Out in Hog Country." Suzie Stephens underwrote the printing.

...Wade says several people declined to be on the calendar but that everyone included "knew right away that they wanted to be on it." It’s also laden with inspirational quotes she has collected over the years and during her recovery.

...The calendars are available at the businesses of those featured in the project, such as Sassafras, Common Grounds, Something Urban and Jammin’ Java. They’ll also be sold at a launch party from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday [October 5] at George’s Majestic Lounge. Only 2,000 were printed.
